AFC
EAST DIVISION
The AFC East is a member of the overall American Football Conference and was formed as part of the 1970 merger in which all four teams were members of the AFL Eastern Division.
The Division Champion qualifies for the NFL Playoffs along with a Wild Card team with the next best record on the road to the Super Bowl.
