		Merseyside Centurions

Merseyside Centurions represents the Merseyside region including the city of Liverpool and play at the home of Liverpool FC. Their main rivals are the cross-town Manchester Demons.

The Centurions are inspired by both the NFL Europa's Cologne Centurions (2004-2007) and the original team that played in the British Gridiron Football League (BGFL)/British National Gridiron League (BNGL) which were the predessors of the British American Football Association (BAFA). This team was very successful and appeared in 3 BritBowls including one win in 1987. The team was renamed Birkenhead Nighthawks and now called the Merseyside Nighthawks. They share their colours with that of Liverpool FC.

The Centurions qualified for the playoffs for the very first time in 2022.

They are members of the West Division and compete for a place in the Northern Conference Playoffs.
