SEASONS
This page summarises key Canadian Football League Playoffs and highlights for all seasons since 1958, the CFL's inaugural season, up to and including the 2026 CFL season, its 68th season.
CFL Draft
The CFL holds its own global graft in Toronto,ON, which features teams selecting their player rosters from a selection of non-Canadian and non-American players, including those from Mexico and Europe in April of the same year of its up and coming regular season. Prior to 2020, and in 2019 only, there were separate drafts for Mexican players and European players.
It features two rounds with a total of 18 selections and the draft order is based on the waiver priority (reverse standings from the previous season).
Players are selected from U Sports football (Canadian College Football) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (American College Football).
2026 CFL SEASON
Schedule was announced on December 9, 2025 and is made up of two pre-season games per team and an 18 games/21-week season where teams will each receive three bye weeks.
Unlike previous seasons, some teams will relocate their home games due the 2026 FIFA World Cup being co-hosted by Canada along with Mexico and the USA.
