Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos were founded in 1959 and were a charter member of the American Football League (AFL) and joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.

From the start, the Broncos were barely competitive during their 10-year AFL seasons and their first 7 years in the NFL, and did not have a winning season until 1973. Four years later, they qualified for the playoffs and played in Super Bowl XII and since 1975 they have become one of the NFL's most successful teams with only 7 losing seasons.
