PHOTO: STADIUMS OF PRO FOOTBALL

Kansas City Chiefs were founded in 1959 and were a charter member of the American Football League (AFL) when they were known as the Dallas Texans. In 1963, they relocated to become the Kansas City Chiefs and joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.

They have won 3 AFL Championships (1962,1966 and 1969) and became the second (after the New York Jets) to defeat an NFL team in the AFL-NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. Recently, the team won their 3rd Super Bowl (LVII) in 2022. The team is valued at over $2bn.
