Indianapolis Colts were founded in 1953 and in Baltimore until 1984 when they relocated to Indianapolis. Since 1987, the Colts have hosted the annual NFL Scouting Combine. They were one of three NFL teams that joined those of the American Football League (AFL) to form the AFC in 1970 following the merger.

Whilst in Baltimore, the Colts won one Super Bowl (V) and lost one Super Bowl (III) but appeared in the playoffs 10 times and won the NFL Championship Games in 1958,1959 and 1968. More recently, since relocating to Indianapolis, they have appeared in the playoffs 16 times, won 2 conference championships and won one Super Bowl (XLI).
