The 1963 AFL season was the fourth season of the American Football League and made up of 14 regular season games.

It consisted of the same 6 franchises as the 1962 season but with The Titans of New York changing their team colors and being renamed the New York Jets and the Dallas Texans having relocated to become the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Boston Patriots moved from Nickerson Field to Fenway Park.

The relocated Kansas City Chiefsmoved from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas to Municipal Stadium in Kansas City.
