SEASONS

The NFL Seasons are collated from the 1966 Season (1st Super Bowl) up to the present day, which includes the AFL-NFL merger in 1970 and especially 1988 which was my first NFL Season.

Each team plays a series of pre-season games, in August, before competing in a 18-week 17-game schedule, between September and December/January, with some games played in international cities. The regular season is followed by the Playoffs, made up of 14 teams (expanded from its previous 12), which end in February with the Super Bowl.

Prior to the Super Bowl, an all-star game, the Pro Bowl, takes place in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada (as of 2020 season).
