The 1991 WLAF season was the first spring football league since the 1985 USFL season and was the first transatlantic sports league.
The Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks were replaced by the Ohio Glory who were just as unsuccessful but managing to win 1 game, compared the Skyhawks' zero wins.
