United Conference
South Division
The South Division became part of the British Conference for the 2025 BFL season, along with the Central Division and is made up of four teams, of which former teams Birmingham Bandits, Sherwood Forest Outlaws and Thames Valley Thunder left to join the Central Division.
Before 2025, the South Division operated independently and held its own postseason, which was merged into the new conference format when the British Conference was created.
Division Champions and the next best team in the United Conference compete for a place in the United Conference Playoffs.

Recent Changes
New helmets and logos were introduced by the Avon Fire (2025 & 2026), London Monarchs (2025), Sussex Pirates (2025 & 2026) & Welsh Dragons (2025) .
Team Names
Teams adhere to the Team Rules.
Avon Fire is named after the River Avon that flows through the area and represents the county boroughs of Bristol and Bath, and the counties of Gloucestershire and Somerset. It uses the resurrected nicknamepreviously used by the defunct Rhein Fire NFL Europe team that played from 1995-2007 but unrelated from the resurrection of that same team for the European League of Football from 2022-2025 and subsequently joining American Football League Europe (AFLE) in 2026. The previous logo was the NFL Europe logo and then modernised to a fire-styled letter 'A' to differientiate it from the active American Football team.
London Monarchs are a resurrection of the original London Monarchs who played in the WLAF from 199-1992 and NFL Europe from 1995-1998. London is the capital of England and the largest city in the UK and the home of the British Royal Family hence the original and current use of the name in American Football.
Sussex Pirates covers both East and West Sussex counties of which Brighton is the largest city in the region. Pirates name is derived from the known practice of pirates hiding their treasures along the south coast of England to evade authorities. Furthermore, nearby Peacehaven, East Sussex references this in the name of the The Smuggler's Rest which is well worth the visit if you are in the area.
Welsh Dragons represent the country of Wales and play in its capital city of Cardiff at the nation stadium Principality Stadium. Its nickname is a symbol that presents the country and is found on their flag and is called "Y Ddraig Goch" in the Welsh language. Its logo is derived from the original New York Dragons Arena Football league team that played from 1995-2008 of which its logo has been changed to better represent the team and its history.
